Dr. Rupanwita Dash is an Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Management Lucknow in Strategic Management area since January 2018. She completed her Ph.D. from the Strategy area at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked as senior researcher at Centre for Development Finance, Institute of Financial Management and Research, Chennai for four years. She also worked at Institute of Rural Management Anand, and National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India.

Her primary research interest is in the areas of competitive dynamics and corporate governance. Her dissertation examines the antecedents and consequences of multimarket competition in Indian pharmaceutical industry, such as, market exit as an outcome of multimarket competition, the effect of a firm’s ownership structure on its multimarket contact, and role of inter-firm exchanges in shaping dyadic multimarket contact. Her current research interests also include the role of managerial decision making process in internationalization of Indian firms, and strategies for managing institutional voids in emerging markets.
