As part of a combined initiative by the Director General Resettlement, Ministry of Defence, and Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIML), a six months General Management Programme for the Defence Officers is being conducted with an objective to orient them towards emerging business environment thus facilitating a smooth transition from Defence services to corporate.
Management education to Defence Officers achieves dual goals of providing a career transition and also contributes to the national interest by developing a disciplined and responsive corporate citizen to play important roles in emerging competitive business scenario.
The objective is to provide the participants with a basic understanding of the managerial systems and processes. The programme has been designed to provide the participants with basic functional inputs in Accounting and Finance, Decision Sciences, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources Management, Communication Skills, Marketing, Strategy, Informational Technology and Business Environment; familiarize them with the requisite analytical tools and technique; and develop a holistic perspective and global mindset to understand issues of an enterprise.
