Dr. Arvind Shroff is an Assistant Professor in the Operations Management area at IIM Lucknow. He holds a
B.Tech. (Industrial Design) from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela. He earned his Ph.D.
in the area of Operations Management & Quantitative Techniques from the Indian Institute of Management
Indore. In his doctoral work, he worked on demystifying the online food delivery marketplace operations in
Sharing Economy and was awarded the Best Doctoral Student Award 2023 at IIM Indore in the 24th Annual
Convocation. He has 13 months of work experience as a Senior Analyst with S.S. Supply Chain Solutions
Pvt. Ltd. outsourced to Philips Lighting. His research interests include sharing economy, online platforms, e-
retailing, service operations, supply chain management, healthcare operations, mathematical modeling, and
game theory. He has presented papers at prestigious International Conferences like POMS 2021 and EURO
2022. His research work has appeared in journals like Journal of Revenue and Pricing Management,
International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, and Journal of Cleaner Production. He has
published teaching cases with leading case outlets like Ivey Publishing and Emerald Emerging Markets Case
Studies. He has been working as a referee for a number of national and international journals.
